The Future of Real Estate
In 2021, Janine Yorio and her co-founders were stuck in a pandemic lockdown with an entrepreneurial itch to scratch. Having recently sold their real estate investment app to Republic, they started dabbling in NFTs and Decentraland real estate. Within a few months, these experimental metaverse real estate projects began to take on a life of their own and Republic Realm was born. At the start of 2022, we partnered to create a new brand that would reflect their status as first-movers in the Metaverse and signal their independence.
An invitation to everyone
With the belief that that everybody deserves their own special place in the metaverse, the name Everyrealm was born. The name represents a spirit of inclusiveness and acts as an invitation for “every” person to shape the metaverse in their own image. Everyrealm is a gateway to the metaverse, much the same way that Netflix is a gateway to streaming video. The company aims to produce and distribute some of the most high-value content for the metaverse in a way that is social, immersive, and interactive—turning a 2D web into a 3D playground using an interface that will foster mainstream adoption. The brand itself needed to being able to flex as a cross between a film and video game development studio as well as a metaverse infrastructure software company.
Shaping the Metaverse
The metaverse is still very much in its infancy. As first-movers in metaverse innovation, we have a responsibility to shape the metaverse so that the massive hype surrounding it actually comes to fruition. So, that’s exactly what we’re doing. From a design stand-point, we sought to elevate the brand beyond pure gaming and introduce a more elevated and sophisticated touch that encouraged diverse audiences to come and see what is going on.
Built to last
The new brand has already achieved a significant milestone with a landmark $60MM Series A financing round, led by Andreessen Horowitz. Other notable investors include Coinbase Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, as well as individual investors Nas, Paris Hilton, Gunna and Mario Götze.
